Questions we hear most.

Most pediatric dentists, including this practice, recommend a first visit within six months of the first tooth appearing, or by the child's first birthday — whichever comes first. The goal of that visit is simply familiarity, not treatment.
All three move teeth the same way. Metal braces are the most durable and usually the fastest for complex cases; ceramic braces work identically but blend in with the tooth colour; clear aligners are removable trays best suited to milder-to-moderate corrections. Dr. Shalgar will recommend one based on the actual bite assessment, not preference alone.
It depends entirely on the case — anywhere from under a year for minor corrections to two years or more for complex bites. An exact timeline is only possible after an in-person consultation and X-ray review.
Yes, when a baby tooth is badly decayed or infected. Losing it too early can let neighbouring teeth drift into the gap, which then crowds out the permanent tooth trying to come in. A pulpectomy keeps that space held until the tooth is ready to fall out naturally.
Yes. Pediatric dentistry and orthodontics are run as two connected specialties under Dr. Shalgar, so a child's early checkups and a teenager's or adult's orthodontic treatment can both be handled at the same practice.
Book online or over WhatsApp with a preferred date and session. For a first visit, bring any previous dental records or X-rays if available — otherwise, just arrive a few minutes early to fill in patient details.
